AMBiT Projects are an international company with headquarters in King’s Lynn in the South of England.
Established in 1990 our comprehensive range of food handling equipment has been refined over the past 26 years. We manufacture systems to transport, prepare and process a wide variety of food products. AMBiT systems are designed and built with a focus on efficiency and running costs.
We are located in the pretty market town of King’s Lynn, which is in the county of Norfolk in the South East of England. We are approximately 2 hours from London via the M11 and the nearest Airport is London Stansted which is just 1.5 hours away by car. Train links are good with direct trains from London Liverpool Street and London Kings Cross taking 1.5 hours.

Glossary of Technical Terms
Contaminants – material that needs to be removed from a product
Sterilisation – removal of bacteria from a product
Flume Washer – washer with water jets which assist in the separation of particles from the product and then push the product towards the process line
Pipe Washer – washer where product is processed through a pipe to clean and fully immerse
Brush Washer – brushes are used to remove tough dirt from the product surface
Dip & Weir Coating – products are covered with a liquid or powder before being cooked
Rotary Reel – product is continually tumbled to ensure total coverage of coatings, typically used for products like oil, salt and flavourings
Screen Graders – product is sized to a specific diameter
Roller Graders – product is turned to allow visual inspection of the entire product
Disinfection – the elimination of most micro-organisms on inanimate objects
Product Pumping – a method of moving produce within the process plant
Destoning – the removal of stones or other material from a product
Conveyors – a piece of mechanical handling equipment that moves materials horizontally from one location to another
Elevators – a piece of mechanical handling equipment that moves materials from one level up to another
Blanching – a cooking process usually in hot water
Tippers – for the decanting of produce from crates and bins into the process line
